Professor @ University of Tübingen
Martin Oettel is coordinating the physics part of the interdisciplinary Nanoscience degree program (BSc/MSc) at the University of Tübingen. He is a theoretical physicist by training and his research is on the statistical physics of many-body systems with applications in soft matter and thin film growth.
Together with Ivan Zaluzhnyy, we explore synthesis and properties of quantum dots in the virtual component of Nanosum 24. Quantum dots can be seen as articifial atoms and open new perspectives for applications in optics and electronics.
