Dynamics and kinetics at the nanoscale

In order to understand function, not only structure, but also dynamics and kinetics at the nanoscale, need to be characterized and understood. We discuss experimental strategies and the theoretical background of X-ray and neutron scattering to address these issues.
These include both time-resolved elastic scattering to follow the kinetic time-evolution of structural changes as well as inelastic and quasi-elastic scattering
to understand dynamical processes including diffusion on the molecular scale.
