Nano materials for light energy conversion
Solar energy conversion is one of the key technologies for reducing and eventually removing the fossil dependence for energy. While the first-generation photovoltaics is already implemented on the market, the use of nanotechnology can expand the possibilities of this field, whether in novel applications, cost effective technologies or better performances. In this seminar, we will explore different routes for the use of nanomaterials in photovoltaics and their potential. Furthermore, new disruptive technology such as optical rectennae will be presented and analyzed.
